Hello again from your new hosts, Kaan and Elena!

Hello fellow fools - it’s your new hosts of Little Red Tarot, Kaan & Elena! We're beyond excited (and more than a little terrified) as we step into Beth’s tarot shop boots.

We've been running the shop for just over six months now, and still very much learners on this journey. You’ll get to know us more in time—and we’d love to get to know you too—but we thought we’d re-share some intros from earlier this year, to say a little hello again!

We both live in small-town mid-Wales, a few minutes walk from each others’ doors and surrounded by rolling green hills. (For a few years, all three of us—Kaan, Elena & Beth—actually lived on the same street!)

Elena

I’m Elena (she/they) and I’m an artist, a facilitator, an organiser, a parent to two excellent and creative little beings, and I like spreadsheets and the sea.

Beth gave me my first tarot deck (the Tarot of the Crone) in 2017, after which I did some classic neurospicy obsessive crush-level reading-all-the-things buying-all-the-decks listening-to-all-the-podcasts until settling down to a more sustainable relationship with the cards.

My personality card is the Empress, which feels a good summary of my Taurus-sun earthiness combined with a dash of Leo-rising warmth. My art and my general vibe is pretty Octavia Butler inspired: what does it look like for us to build collective liberation / find pleasure in the midst of apocalypse.

Kaan

Hello, I’m Kaan (they/them) and I’m a writer, drag king, cat parent and a big nerd (talk to me about octopuses, board games and natural building).

I was also gifted my first tarot deck by Beth, the wonderful Gentle Tarot, which I’m currently in a lovely daily(ish) practice with. I’m really excited to be working alongside one of my best friends and co-conspirators, Elena.

I’m curious about how our communities can use meaning-making, creativity and dreaming to bring about loving worlds.

Advisors

We love that LRT has a history of taking guidance from the cats in our lives, and we want to continue that tradition. So we’d love to introduce you to two of our brilliant guides on this journey:

Head of softness: Mandy (above, left)

Head of interdimensional perspectives: RoBear (above, right)

Some stuff we are looking forward to: getting our geek on over tarot, supporting queer, disabled, bpoc creatives, building relationships with the wider LRT community, and dreaming into workshops and other collective spaces for tarot.

What about you? What would you like to see or hear more of as we step into this new collective venture with each other and you all?

Are there decks you think we should be stocking? Blogs you’d like to read or write? Workshops you’d like to participate in, or organise? Email us at hello@littleredtarot.com

So much looking forward to stepping into this next part of Little Red Tarot’s journey with you…

Elena and Kaan xx

Hello from Albuquerque! (New Mexico, USA) I hope everything goes really well for you all! I stumbled across this site a few years ago when I was in a rough patch in my life. I did one of those random Instagram things where you pause a video & whatever image you land on is for you. I knew absolutely nothing about tarot, but my pause landed on the 8 of swords (traditional RWS images) and it looked intriguing so I googled the card. This site’s page on the meaning of the card is what I ended up reading. it changed my life & was my first introduction to tarot. I’m so glad this site will be continuing!

Hey Sally, thanks for sharing. I’m really happy that the 8 of swords came into your life at just the right moment. We’re happy to be continuing Beth’s legacy too, and I personally adore her card interpretations! – Kaan xx
