This traditionally derived, 78-card Tarot deck was created by Rebecca Schoenecker.
The meanings of the cards are conventional, but the images are a sparkly new translation of the timeless art of tarot. The decks’ creator worked hard to tame the wild, mystical Unicorn. It wasn’t easy. The Unicorns were shy and sometimes they had difficulty concentrating. But through their friendship, the Unicorns began to share their secrets. Rebecca came to know these 5 Unicorns, who agreed to work with her, granted they get some recognition. I shall introduce you to them now: The winged Pegasus tells the story of the Major Arcana, the trusty Karkadann takes us through the earthy suit of Pentacles, the Shadhavar’s Sworded Unicorn Horn tells us their share, the feisty Monokerata dazzles with their Wand of fire, and the soothing Qilin Unicorn renews us all in the watery suit of Cups.
These courageous Unicorns do more than just take you through the 78-card meanings and images, too. They share their connection with the cosmos. Each card contains elemental, zodiac, and planetary information so that you can bring an added layer of astrological divination – if you so desire.
This is a great deck for anyone that has been intimidated by the intense imagery in many of the conventional Tarot decks. These Unicorns are generally pretty welcoming, and they have color and spark. It’s also just a beautiful deck in general. It comes in a tuck box, and includes two info cards with information about each Unicorn and suit, as well as a quick a quick guide to the planets and the zodiac. The cards are about three by five inches tall, in case your wonderin’.
