I’m loving the long, lazy days of late summer, noticing the nights just subtly beginning to draw in, yet still feeling so grateful for the generous warmth and light we get to enjoy into August. It’s such a special time of year, dreamy, golden, and really special, with late summer herbs blooming and sharing their medicine, and the river still warm and welcoming for a dip.
We have a few new goodies in the shop, too!
Personal Space Tarot
When Emilee Graverson stopped printing her lovely deck a couple of years back, I thought it had been retired for good. So I was so happy and excited to hear that she was reviving this tarot, which is soft and muted, with simple line-drawn imagery.
As this deck comes in a tuck-box, we include a simple cotton bag with all purchases.
Considerate Cat Tarot
This whimsical, pastel-hued deck is filled with the stories of rescue cats. Creator Madeline is a passionate cat-fosterer, and many of the cats she has cared for appear here.
Flora Healing & Fauna Inspiration Cards
These beautiful decks are wonderful alone or as a pair. Filled with gorgeous watercolour illustrations, each card offers up the wisdom and symbolism of an animal or plant, to be an ally on your path. These also make a wonderful gift.
Bridge Witches Tarot
This brightly-coloured tarot is centred on community spirit and is perfect for urban witches. Created by Genevieve Barbee-Turner, the Bridge Witches Tarot (which comes with a great guidebook!) is filled with people and places from her home city of Pittsburgh. The deck is a love letter to the resilience and diversity of urban environments.
Read a great interview with Genevieve here!
‘Aunties’ playing cards
When I saw that Finnish artist Inge Look had created two playing card decks featuring her much-beloved Aunties, I couldn’t resist adding them to the LRT family. Inge’s illustrations are a joyful celebration of elderhood, female friendship, laughter…and just not caring what anyone else thinks.
